These were all taken in early December when my mom was visiting, hence the trees aren't completely bald yet, and the leaves are still turning which made everything just completely beautiful.

25th-Dec-2007 02:17 am - LUNA SEA GOD BLESS YOU~One Night Dejavu~ 2007-12-24 in TOKYO DOME
AMAZING. Met with [info]hisaki at Shinjuku station before the live, it took us forever to find each other... We hopped on the train and headed to Tokyo Dome. I was worrying that we were going to miss the intro because we arrived at Tokyo Dome at about 6:15PM but there were still a ton of fans outside waiting to get in. Our seats were not good, as the pictures proves but like I should even care? I was just satisfied that I could be there.

[info]amae_ichigo will enjoy this... I was once again sat next to the mentally insane!!! Another old lady that insisted on dancing around like a complete moron and I swear she elbowed me in the boob on about 5 different occasions. [info]hisaki kept telling me that I should elbow her in her side or something lol.

The intro was short, they played this amazing remix of "MOONLIGHT SONATA" and on the monitor was an eclipse and they scrolled through the dates of when LUNA SEA formed and broke up and then finally 2007-12-24!! They opened with "LOVELESS" and continued to play most of the songs that were released as singles. The band members were fun to watch though I will admit that RYUICHI was quite over dramatic which [info]hisaki and I couldn't help but laugh at, plus he is quite a boring on-stage front man... Or perhaps I am used to seeing Teru from GLAY run around all over the stage and slightly strip. I will admit that they sound amazing live♥

I believe that about 95% of the night I was focused on SUGIZO. He is just amazing, I have always thought so and even more so now. The man is a complete musical genius. The 10th song they played being "PROVIDENCE" (btw, [info]hisaki that is the song you asked me about which I forgot the name during the time.) SUGIZO came out playing his violin, I felt like either melting or breaking out into tears I am so weak to that instrument. He is just amazing to watch, how he handles his guitar is amazing, sexy, yet beautiful.

They took a little break, and SHINYA did quite a long kick-ass drum solo. He would drum a little and then stop and the audience would scream out "SHINYA!!!" he played for a while and then J came out to join him on bass. Amazing drum and bass solo performance.

I was more so stoked that they played majority of my favorite songs, though I did not think that they would play "TONIGHT" which happens to be one of my favorite LUNA SEA songs ever. But RYUICHI announced "LAST SONG, TONIGHT!!" Happy, me! Considering that the hand motions were totally unfamiliar to [info]hisaki and I, I mostly just stood there and bobbed my head and sang along to the songs.

This had to be the most odd encore call ever! I am used to the typical "アンコール!" But instead they started playing that Japanese version of "SILENT NIGHT" over the speakers and eventually all the fans started singing along. I believe that there was a wave going on then too... I forget if it was the first encore or the second? Anyway, the members eventually came back out and RYUICHI thanked the fans for singing along to "SILENT NIGHT" and then announced into the microphone "心からI FOR YOU!" After "I FOR YOU" finished, [info]hisaki and I had to laugh again when RYUICHI sang a piece of "WHITE CHRISTMAS" His English was not that bad, but it was just quite random.

I think it was the 2nd or 3rd encore but they did member introductions starting with SHINYA and ending with SUGIZO. Each member spoke something into the microphone, we even got the famous "FUCK OFF!" from J, but INORAN was too shy to say a word which was quite cute. The other members introduced RYUCHI, mostly SUGIZO talking, saying such things like "The worlds best vocalist!" followed by "The worlds biggest narcissist!"

They did two other encores and closed with "WISH". SUGIZO threw a couple water bottles into the audience, and I swear he should play baseball or something because he can throw damn far! I wasn't until towards the encores that RYUICHI got a little more interesting and actually danced around and wasn't just standing in the same place doing pretty much nothing but singing. At one point all the members joined together around RYUICHI and played together.

When "WISH" finished, they turned on some quite depressing piano music, yes I got teary then because I knew that it was over... The members stayed on stage running down the cat-walk together, SHINYA and SUGIZO threw quite a few drumsticks into the audience. They joined again at the top of the stage and did their well-known, hold hands and jump in the air. During this time the Japanese girl next to [info]hisaki asked to hold hands with her, so we all joined hands and copied the band. The members even came down off the stage to shake hands with some of the fans on the floor level. When back on the stage, SUGIZO was last to exit, taking 3 final bows and then exiting the stage.

It still feels like a dream. I got into LUNA SEA after they had already disbanded and I never EVER expected to be able to see them live besides by DVD or VHS but it was truly amazing. I am hoping that somehow they will return again in perhaps another 7 years? Hell they should just regroup! I also ended up getting the bath towel, stickers, and key chain♥ good memories.

21st-Sep-2007 04:14 pm - From one rock to another...
Lets date this back to Tuesday night if I can remember exactly what went on... [info]sungirldotorg taxi'd out to the Minami area at about 12:00AM, we ended up at Dotonbori Starbucks because we bother were quite tired and needed coffee, I also needed to go to Tsutaya to buy CD's for my brother and that just happens to be in the same building. After we finished up there, we decided to head over to ZERRO to meet with Laura. I made the mistake of ordering our drinks from Makko... I had a kamikaze and Bri had a screwdriver and they were both disgustingly strong! I honestly have NEVER felt tipsy off of one kamikaze. I found out later from Laura that Makko was drunk, hence her unusual poor bartending skills that evening.

After ZERRO, Bri and I bounced over to CAMON since I told Nana I would stop by and say hello/goodbye. Akiro was working as well so we all did a shot together. It was unusually dead for a Tuesday night so we didn't stay very long because it was quite boring. Hisashi, the old host man told us earlier that he would come drink with us, but he wasn't replying to my e-mails or my calls, so we kind of gave up and headed to CINQUECENTO. On the way there, Hisashi called me and said that he was tired and just would meet us to tell me "itterashai" but I ended up convincing him to have one drink. He bought the first round, but Bri ordered her drink too fast and ended up having to pay for hers. He told us that he had to play baseball the following morning, some host-club baseball competition with a huge cash prize. I ended up convincing him to stay for another drink as well as a shot which I felt bad for buying for him because he hates sweet things and I ordered three blow-jobs. He said that he throws up when he eats cake!!! He we unusually friendly with me... Uhm ok.

Bri and I hung out at CINQ until they closed talking with Tak and Andrea about random things before we headed back to ZERRO to meet with Laura again. From ZERRO we ended up at McDonalds. I obviously drank too fast that night and was completely trashed. Ryu called me and I couldn't really comprehend what he was saying... Oh not to mention that on the way to ZERRO, we ran into Ren on the street which made Bri quite happy.

After McDonalds we headed home. I ended up falling asleep sitting up on my couch. Woke up about 30mins later, packed and took a shower then went back to sleep. Woke up later and go ready then took a taxi to Umeda where I caught the bus to the airport.

Everything went through smoothly at the airport which was refreshing. I bought some omiyage for my family because I am ghetto like that. The plane was packed with CHINESE people, weird. I litteraly was the butt of the plan, the LAST row. I was seatted next to three Japanese girls, which was fine. I was extremely tired considering I managed about 13 hours of sleep total in the prior 3 days, I also took some cold medication that knocked me out. Turbulance on the plane was insane, the plane dropped a few times to the point where people gasped and kind of screamed. It felt like being on a roller coaster when it takes an instant drop... I felt like I was going to die. The food sucked, obviously...

I had about an hour layover in Honolulu before my flight to Kauai so I messed around with my docomo rental phone and called Josh. Boarded the flight... Took about 20mins. Turns out I was on the same flight to Kauai as one of my high school classmates so we ended up talking a little in the baggage claim area. I waited for Dom to come get me.

We went to my mom's work place first, she was in the middle of a meeting but I walked in and she almost had a heart attack because I didn't tell her that I was going home HAHA! Best reaction EVER. After that I visited both Starbucks so I could see some old friends then headed home. I went to dinner with my mom in the evening to Casablanca and had a huge American steak... I could only finish about a quarter of it, which is unusual.

I woke up today and hung out around the house then I went with my sister to town because she had a meeting to go to with my mom so I borrowed her car and hung around with my nephew. We went down to Ahukini and then grabbed Taco Bell for dinner which made me want to vomit after eating it, obviously I have adjusted to Japanese-like foods or something.

I am supposed to go to lunch with my moms friend tomorrow and then in the evening my mom and I are going up to the cabin in the mountains until Sunday, super relaxation!
15th-Aug-2007 07:14 pm - Be there!!!
IT'S ROCK NIGHT AT CAMON!!! I HOPE TO SEE SOME OF YOU OSAKA PEOPLE THERE!!! YOU STILL HAVE A FEW HOURS BEFORE LAST TRAIN, DON'T BE LAZY!!!
13th-Aug-2007 08:17 pm
Dotonbori at 5:30 in the morning on August 13th.

My weekend ended quite shitty. I got kicked out of my appartment in Kujo because Nao lied on the contract and said his father was living there. He never informed me that he did that because that appartment was actually against having foreigners living there. So, Sunday morning [info]sungirldotorg and I got woken up to two Japanese guy barging into my appartment while we were sleeping. Both of them looked a little confused as to why two foreign girls were there sleeping and immediatly asked me where Mr. Nagao was. I was confused, they left and I could hear them making a phone call, likely to the management company. I called Nao to figure out what was going on... He called me back and basically the management company informed him that Brianna and I needed to be out of there THAT DAY. So I had to pack up all my shit, thankful enough that Tamaki could help us since she has a car. So now I am back in Kishinosato and miserable. Because first of all I paid about 80000yen for a deposit fee on the appartment in Kujo, as well as 38000yen for this past months rent. I have been living there for only a month, so I got screwed out of 80000yen for deposit money that I WON'T get back. Also, since the contract for the appartment has been broken, I am being punished and now have to pay a punishment fee of I have no idea how much. Apparently Nao has found another appartment around Nipponbashi which I am going to look at this Friday. Though as of now I can't afford anything, so I am basically screwed...

Anyways, looking back... Friday at work was interesting. It was another trance/para-para night. A lot of hosts as customers and freaking ganguro/gyaru girls. There was a birthday party in the V.I.P room and the dumbasses decided to have a cake fight which Nana ended up having to clean up after. I would have kicked them out! After work I ended up having a meeting with the owner as well as Nana and Abby since they can translate... Basically expressed the way that I have been feeling lately. Basically, rules will change and the foreign staff is NEVER informed, not even the security guards. In fact, before I met with the owner, one of our security guards met with the owner because he was confused as to why the hell we were still open at 5:30AM when we usually close at 5:00AM. Nobody informed the security staff that on Friday's and Saturday's we are now staying open until 6:00AM. So Matsubayashi (the owner) told me to be patient, and that apparently Shunsuke and Katsuyuki would be informed to stop giving me shit. Because of the meeting I didn't end up getting home until about 8:00AM.

Saturday night, I didn't work because it was Tamaki's birthday. Bri and I met with Yoshi and his friend Shunsuke at ZERRO, Laura was also there. Eventually Keita, Tamaki, Chika, Koji, Chiran, and Chika's friend showed up. Yoshi and Shunsuke got drunk really fast and kept buying people drinks. I ran in to Travis, Scott, and Dave there as well. Eventually we ended up at CAMON because it was cheap and semi-busy. Tamaki was nowhere to be found so we assumed that she went home, and Bri wasn't feeling well so we decided to leave. Yoshi and I went to Sam & Dave 05. We actually found out the next day that Tamaki was so drunk that she passed out in the bathroom and slept for one hour (oops!)

Sam & Dave 05 was quite crowded. I got dragged into V.I.P by Bryan, one of the workers from CINQUECENTO. Didn't stay there for long though. I ended up running into Hikki and later Akiro showed up with his friend Nao who is the guitarist for some indies band as well as a host. So I sat on one of the club booth chairs with Hikki and Nao and just talked about random stuff. I went home at about 8:00AM when they started playing Avril Lavigne obviously to chase people away (it worked).

Sunday night, after moving all my stuff back to Kishinosato, Bri and I jumped into Tamaki's car and we headed to Shinsaibashi to eat yakiniku at this cool cheap spot that Bri and I found near Soemoncho. After dinner Tamaki went home and I had way too much on my mind so Bri and I had a scavenger hunt for random things around the area, such as finding CLUB GOLD (success!), random bad English bar signs (success!), cheap cafe pari (not-successful), we did see some of the DEEP guys. We walked by ZERRO and Laura was standing outside with Kosuke and Anthony so we stopped to talk with them for a while before heading to McDonalds for french fries. We sat on a bench in Dotonbori to eat our french fries and watched the few hosts that were there try to nampa girls on the bridge. Go figure that eventually they would be bored enough to come up and talk to us. This one guy was about 5'2 and was BEGGING Bri to come to his club, he kept saying "500yen nomihodai!!" He was basically up in her face. His friend, looked at me and was like "Let's make a baby together, they would be cute!" I was like "DUDE WHAT!?" Hosts are weird... Eventually they caught our drift and we wished them luck on the nampaing and they left us alone. We watched the sun rise and then at about 6:00AM we walked to Namba and caught the train home.

I believe we woke up at about 6:30PM this evening...

It's o-bon week, I have no English teaching work, my privates don't want lessons either (damnit!) but I get to work at CAMON tomorrow night.

We just made brownies... They smell good.

random bar pictures, etc )

This is where I work. This past Friday (Starting Point) you can see Abby and Josh, as well as the stripper pole!
10th-Aug-2007 06:47 am - I hate coin laundry...
It's 6:47AM, I am waiting for my stupid laundry to finish before I can actually go to bed... I have a headache, probably from being tired and the extreme heat outside...

Someone please explain to me why we were so busy tonight!? I swear we went through about 10 bottles of tequila!! Japanese people are insane!! Not only that but some of my boss' friends showed up, and this one guy was completely drunk (older man) and kept trying to dance up on every girl in the club and insisted on trying to talk to me even though I told him about 20x that I DON'T speak Japanese!!! He kept telling me that I am so cute, and that he wants to date me (uhm you could be my dad...) then he asked me to go out somewhere with him later. I told him it's impossible, then he told me to at least LIKE him... Jesus... Thats when finally I was like "Dude, I am MARRIED!" then he gave me a strange look and walked away. Japanese people have honestly turned reggae dancing into something disgusting... People think that bumpin and grinding to hip-hop music is tasteless... Seriously, seeing the way that people dance on reggae night makes me want to vomit all over bar counter.

Anyway, tomorrow is STARTING POINT, more trance and parapara. Though according to Abby, these guys bring in a hell of a lot more customers than the fools that played last weekend. I'm taking Saturday off because it's Tamaki's birthday, so we'll go out and get crazy! [info]sankakukoen care to join us again? Knowing me I will probably end up at SAM05 in the morning as usual...

Next week is o-bon so I don't have to work my English jobs, yay!!! But the week after is summer camp for Seikyo Seminar. I guess I will be going to some mountain to stay in a cabin and go canoeing with the Japanese teachers as well as 35 screamming little kids from ages 6 to 12... Sounds exciting...

It's noticably hotter now, and the semi are driving me insane... Die already you little bastard bugs. I want summer to be over already!!!

I want my lip piercing to heal already... It's such a pain in the ass to keep clean, and I am having to train myself how to eat all over again. I need to go back to SMART FREAKS and look at jewelry... Probably change it to a stud once it heals, or something cool...

I'm hungry, but can't afford food. I am supposed to get paid today, I was actually hoping that my boss would have transfered the money to my account yesterday because sometimes she does that, but nope! So as of now I believe I have 53yen and thats it! Good thing I have a bike or I would be walking my ass to work.

Laundry should be done... YAY!
4th-Aug-2007 06:02 am - new new new
Starting off, I have been spoiled this week♥ Wednesday I met with [info]sungirldotorg, Tamaki, and Nao in Shinsaibashi. I ended up going to BIC CAMERA to pick up a new phone, since my previous phone was about 2-3 years old and the battery was crapping out. I wanted the new 904iTV, but they only had it in gold, and I hate gold... So I settled for the SH903iTV, picture above (but in white). The screen swivels and you can watch TV. It's also mp3 capable, I get a stream update every 30mins with the latest news and weather, etc. The camera is also very clean compaired to my last phone. Though my last phone was an NEC, and this current one is a SHARP so it's taking a while to get used to the key positioning, etc. Plus there is no built in dictionary which SUCKS, but I will live.

After phone shopping, we went to an izakaya for dinner then I headed to work. SWITCH -ROCK THE NIGHT-, CAMON'S every Wednesday rock night sucked as usual, no customers... Though the DJ's played better music this week. Abby, my co-worker bought some cigarettes and it came in some plastic ball like a gift set, so we taped the ball up and used it as a soccer ball and basically kicked it around thoughout the club (Abby, Nana, and I) because we had nothing better to do.

Thursday I worked in Kawachi-Nagano. I was exhausted and feeling crappy on the way back so I didn't go to work at the club... Instead I stayed home and ate and slept, and made plans for the following day.

I woke up at about 4:30PM and got ready and road my bike to Amemura to meet with [info]sankakukoen. I had decided to pierce my lip the previous night, and researched a shop and [info]sankakukoen came along for moral support♥ though while I was waiting for her some weird old man came up and asked me if he could take my picture... Random... Anyway, the shop wasn't as hard to find as I thought that it would be. For any of you people living in Osaka and ever plan on getting anything done, this place is awesome SMART FREAKS. The shop is really clean, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. So after 3 years of wanting to do so, I got my lip pierced. It didn't really hurt, but it feels extremely strange like I have food hanging out of my mouth... Though it will take a month to heal according to the piercer guy... So I guess that I will be wearing a bandaid on my lip to my teaching jobs.

After that we headed to Dotonbori Starbucks to wait for [info]sungirldotorg then headed to BAR ZERRO for dinner. After that we headed back to Amemura to meet Chiran (one of [info]sankakukoen's friends). As we were on our way to McDonalds to McFlurrys, we got nampa'd by 3 guys. Apparently one recognized [info]sungirldotorg and [info]sankakukoen from the previous weekend outside of CLUB CAMON when he offered to show them his tiny Japanese nipples and asked them to have like a 5-some or something... The guy was just WEIRD. His friends were normal and nice though, so I chatted with one of the guys for a little before it got annoying, so I took the opportunity to ditch and Chiran followed me and eventually Bri and Kate came running and escaped the weirdo.

Midgit Koji and his friends met us at McDonalds and we headed to CAMON. It was another dead trance/para-para night, so we drank, played darts... I got off at 3:00AM and we went to ROYAL HOST to eat. Chiran went home, Kate crashed at a capsule hotel, Bri and Tamaki took a cab, and I was going to stop in at Hiki's bar to say hi, but I biked home instead. Now it's 6:30AM and I am not really tired...

Tonight is ZIMA night... So all you Osaka people better come out!!! That's if you aren't going to Yodogawa-Matsuri... Haha.
